Scout Eval:
Has great mechanics and is very fundamentally sound. Has good footwork and a nice, smooth, over the top release. Shows good ability to escape the pocket and throw on the run. Has solid arm strength and knows when to gun it and when to add some touch. Has not thrown a high volume of passes in high school, so he can continue to work on making reads and decisions, but he has great tools and a feel for the game.

ESPN Notes:

2007: Passed for 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns. Rushed for 500 yards and seven more scores

How come Oregon isn't on his list? Seems kind of fishy to me.

U-M, MSU try to keep St. Mary’s QB home

Sam Webb: Recruiting
Thursday, February 12, 2009

The state of Michigan's 2010 recruiting class is shaping up to be one of its best in recent memory. A number of potential impact players dot next year's list, and no position is featured more prominently than the quarterback. Inkster signal-caller Devin Gardner has been a hot prospect nationally for almost a year, Saline transfer Joe Boisture has been the source of a great deal of buzz here lately and the talent pool doesn't end there. Robert Bolden of Orchard Lake St. Mary's has emerged as a major college prospect, as well.

Statistically, Bolden's numbers don't compare favorably with those of Gardner and Boisture. When the curtain fell on his junior campaign, he had completed just 72 of 123 passes for 949 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions. He also accumulated another 260 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Those numbers aren't gaudy, to be sure, but there are reasons for that, and it has nothing to do with individual talent.

a friend of mine's lil brother was a teammate of his at st mary's... the little **** is going to the nibblets on a track scholarship

Re: '10 MI QB Robert Bolden

He's preparing to announce very soon per Scout

I'm 99% sure it's going to be Penn State. Everyone thought Michigan State, but he didn't commit on his visit and then they pulled that QB away from Boston College that had given a verbal. So I think MSU's out and PSU's in.

noice call 'nik.

Guy has a rocket arm and would look great in a pro style offense. Throw in some bootlegs for him so he feels like he can run around a little bit.
