Dual-threat QB in high school, but projects as a WR in college. Should be an elite return man.

Here's what ESPN has to say about Blackmon: He is remarkably smooth and fluid-- ease of movement and change-of-direction skills are excellent. Gets into his top gear in a hurry and can cut on a dime. He has feet like a sewing machine needle. All of his steps are calculated and effortless at the same time. He's a glider with elusive moves and a serious second gear in space. He actually runs with running back type vision and lateral agility. Fits through tiny creases, explodes into the open field and has the speed and burst to get to the edge, turn the corner and take it the distance. He's a very shifty, decisive open-field runner who creates separation with his burst, low center of gravity and sharp breaks. Hips and ability to stop and start with no wasted motion are amongst the best in this entire class.

Video highlights are amazing. The kickoff return at about 1:30 is sick, but what he does with the ball in his hands out of the spread option (starting at about 2:00) tops it.

Oregon has been the only official visit so far for Blackmon.

Elite speed. Put him on the list of guys that the new staff should go after immediately.

According to Scout, we have offered Devon who ended up at a JUCO (Riverside). He boasts offers from Washington, Fresno State, Arizona and others. One of the assistant head coaches at Riverside is our own Darrin Chiaverini.

Rivals now showing the offer as well.

Wow. I have a great Chiaverini story for a sackygate sometime. It involves his college girlfriend and the CU- CSU teargas game.

He's a cousin of Erik Brown and I remember reading an article that they wanted to go to the same school. I haven't followed either one of their recruitment's since then so maybe that has changed.
