He's anchoring the Ponderosa offensive line this year. Scout puts him at 6'7" and 275 lbs. Brendon Austin, the OT from Chaparrel we've offered for 2011, said in a Rivals interview over the summer: "Next I went to CU's Big Man camp and then I went to their Friday Night Lights camp. A kid from Ponderosa named Sean Palinckx and myself did really well there; we were probably the top juniors at their camp."

Still not finding much. He seems to be a pretty good wrestler, so that usually means he's got good hands & feet for someone his size.

    No profiles up yet.

MaxPreps has a page on him (not much info), but there's a pro photo on there that shows how ginormous he is:

From Jeff Stroud, the publisher of Prep Colorado on the Scout network:

"This kid is a refrigerator with arms and he is only getting bigger. He is not a left tackle and may not be the most nimble offensive lineman, but watch out when he gets his hands on you."

He really likes him and posted a follow up that he'd be a fantastic PWO candidate.

You can't coach size. Kid is huge. I'd take a flyer on him and see what transpires. That's what happened with Nate Solder.

Solder is big, but we took a flyer on him due to his overall athletic ability as well. Solder was a tight end, and we didn't really recruit him as an OL in my recollections. I say offer kids based on their on-field performance, not their height and weight.

One thing to look at, and photos don't always tell the story, is that the kid looks young. This usually means that there is some more physical growth and development in him. A lot of times you get a big kid in HS with a full beard and they struggle to put on additional weight and strength in college. Other kids (Solder was one) almost have a hard time not gaining weight and muscle mass.

He's not a BCS-level recruit, especially in a year where we are taking a small class. Just have to hope that a new coaching can flip Austin, Mustoe, or both.

    Yep.

He'd be an awesome guy to get as a Preferred Walk On, though.

Quoted on the Colorado Prep Report as having committed to Northern Colorado. He visited Greeley Jan. 21.

He does go on to say he's committed at "90 %" -- whatever that means.

So, if he gets a bcs level offer, does the 10% weigh more than the 90% ???

I really couldn't say --- he's got one week left to drum up an offer, hope he does, but if not, I think Greeley's a great school for Sean.

(Muttering to self: at least he's not going to Wyoming with the entire rest of Colorado. Okay, okay, just four Colorado guys committed to the Cowboys. Or twice as many as CU has at the moment.)
