Scout: Lucket Will Wait for Spring to sign a LOI

“With Colorado moving to the Pac 10 or the Pac 12, it is going to open up his eyes,” said [AAU Coach] Hutchins. “He went to Los Angeles for a tournament earlier this year and liked it. I think the West Coast style of basketball also intrigues him. They jumped in late, but I know he is interested in them.”

Scout also has CU and Missouri State as his only 2 "High Interest" programs.

Rivals reported the following:

Colorado and Missouri State are a couple of schools enamored with Luckett. If the athletic guard gets his academics in order, these two schools won't be the only ones after him.

If Luckett does the work to become a full qualifier and Burks decides to leave early for the NBA, Luckett will be one of CU's top targets in the spring.

LeAntwan Luckett is another available shooting guard in the Rivals150. Averaging 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Luckett now has offers from Colorado and Missouri State.

He is in the process of setting up a visit to Central Florida, and now Clemson is in the hunt after being impressed with Luckett's play when they watched him last week.

There was a question about whether Luckett, who is from Ridgeland (Miss.) High School, would qualify. He has raised his GPA and test score, however, and is now expected to qualify.

With Higgins gone and Burks possibly going pro, he would be a huge pickup for us and could start from day 1.

Also, on rivals it says CU has offered him a scholly, but not on scout.

Signed a letter of intent with Alcorn State today. Tought he would be our top target if Burks leaves. It's very questionable whether or not Luckett will qualify and id guess that he ended up signing with a small school like Alcorn because they were the only ones willing to take a chance on him.
