This week, the 6-foot-8, 220-pound prospect received some more good news. This time, Holmes picked up his first Big 12 offer.

"Colorado just offered me," said Holmes, late Monday afternoon. "I don't really know what to think, it really hasn't hit me yet. This just makes me want to work harder and continue to get better."

I haven't read anything about him yet, but he looks like a good prospect. I like the height and size.

Recruiting of Holmes has absolutely blown up since we offered him. He has stated he wants to stay close to home and he's got an upcoming visit to Texas. Pretty sure we're out of the running here.
