CU coaches observed practice on Tuesday and offered Gibson a scholarship.

Gibson on CU - “I impressed the coach from Colorado in one on ones, me and Driphus (Cedar Hill QB Driphus Jackson) did our thing. After I talked to him on the phone and he asked me if I would not mind leaving the state and coming to Colorado.”

Gibson doesn't seem that high on us at this point, but we'll see how it progresses. I've got a feeling that if he gets an in-state Big 12 offer then we'll be on the outside looking in. Hope I'm wrong.

Also, no one is reporting a 40 time but it looks like he's got decent speed and explosive from some other information out there. In track this spring, he clocked a 24.02 200m. That's decent, but not great. You'd like to see it under 23.5 seconds.

He also scored 6 touchdowns on the 14 catches he made last season.

Kind of surprising that he jumped at the UTEP offer. As I posted earlier, it looked like he was leaving the state. I suppose El Paso is kind of like leaving the state for a kid from the DFW metro.
