2012 guard Cory Calvert of Chapparal (CO) committed to BYU last night, according to @Hoopniks.

Calvert committed to Utah State last year, but de-committed this June and started looking around again.

From Hoopniks:

Calvert gained some notoriety over the summer, playing for the Colorado Hawks. While college coaches flocked in packs to catch 2013 star Chris Thomas at the Hawks’ games, it was Calvert who was the most consistent player on the squad for much of July. He’s a heady guard and a highly consistent deep threat. Calvert had several scorching shooting performances, and was terrific for the Hawks as Thomas struggled at times in July.

According to a source, Calvert was offered a scholarship by coach Rose on an in-home visit tonight, and capitalized on it immediately by accepting the offer.
According to MaxPreps, Calvert averaged 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game last season at Colorado’s highest level of high school basketball.
