He's #11 in white in these highlights. I'd say the build is pretty accurate; he's a pretty big, thick kid. He doesn't look like an elite athlete, but he has a really nice stroke and reportedly has a high basketball IQ.

Keep it up coach A! Outside of Collier and Perkins, Pickens is my favorite 2014 prospect on our board right now.

We're not talking enough about Pickens, but maybe this will get the conversation going.

I think this is the "knock down shooter" that Tad wants for this class.

Will had a nice little video on Pickens today. Am I the only one who thinks of Allan Houston when watching him? He obviously has a long ways to go to be that type of shooter, but I can't help but see similarities.

Wonder if it's too late to get back in on Pickens. I'm almost certain there was a lot of mutual interest but there was a numbers problem for CU before (2 spots and pressing needs at C and PG didn't allow for a Wing).

I am just going to bump this for fun. Pickens is now my new target for the Jenkins opening.

Furd. They're going to be scary next year with a real coach.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens to Dawkins. Does he retain his job, assuming me makes the dance, or does he get canned. It's strange to me how kids commit to schools where coaches are baking on the hot seat. Do they not necessarily care so much about the coach but more about the school?

Based on that logic, shouldn't all the Ivy League Schools be landing top-15 classes as well?

I would agree with this for a Duke or other top notch schools with a lot of basketball success, but I doubt there area bunch of athletes in America that are that concerned about the degree they'll be getting.

This is the second year in a row that miller has let the top prospect in AZ walk out of there (to a conf rival no less).
Should we take this as a sign that he doesnt need these az kids because he's going after the 5* recruits country wide (and landing them sometimes) or that he's falling off a bit?

It would be really hard to make the argument that Miller isn't recruiting well.

Not necessarily. The Ivy schools have such large endowments that athletes are usually put on 'academic' scholarships.

Well yes, my point really was that Ivy League do not offer academic scholarships, and you accept a spot on their roster under the assumption that you will be paying for your tuition. Whether or not you do is kind of up to the school and the use of their endowment funds.

Every time I see this name I only think about the bad guy from The Mask. So, yeah.
