Reported Offers: COLORADO, San Diego State

Full name is Jeaujuray Henderson, but seems to go by Jay.

SDSU was his first offer and he jumped at it on Monday, April 8th. Since then, CU has been in contact and has offered. HCMM generally doesn't believe in extending an offer unless there's some interest, so I'm assuming that Jay is somewhat open.

“I know I’ll be a pass rusher, and I like doing that.”

Henderson listed speed and strength as his top attributes at this point but told, “Learning how to play the position” is what he needs to work on in the time before he gets to campus.

Last year the Serrano Diamondbacks rolled through the season before falling to Citrus Hill in the Southern Section Championship and finishing the season with a 13-1 record. Henderson helped Serrano with 82 tackles, 6.5 sacks and caused 2 fumbles.

Henderson played three positions last season -- speed rush defensive end, wideout and slot receiver -- and is a natural athlete. He also ran track at Serrano and has a good set of wheels. At his size, he was still able to run the 100-meter dash in 11.32 seconds.

I was getting scared there that we got beat out by SDSU for a 2* LB. Feel better if our offer came after he accepted SDSU. Sounds like a good athlete.
