'14 CA RB Jomon Dotson (Signed to Washington)

Welcome to Boulder young Man !

Great news... Looks good too! These coaches can recruit.

Not sure another RB will be a priority for HCMM. In fact I don't think it should be. Given that the ideal is to balance out the classes-roughly 1 person for every 22 starting positions and given our weakness on the OL going forward, WR and TE, LB, etc. I think it would be a waste to get another RB unless it is someone like Ballage who could play at multiple positions.

I say this b/c not only does Adkins look like a real good back, HCMM is on record recently as saying Lindsay is the most impressive player currently RS-that he looks really good and quick. Plus we have a few more years of Powell and Dotson looks like the real deal. I say move on to weaker areas of our roster-we know there are many.

RB is arguably the weakest area on offense outside of TE.

We are really counting on Lindsay being the answer? Really? And a few more years of Powell playing 8-9 games a season (if that)? You are making the case for me.

You conveniently left out the guy most of us are optimistic about based on how he started (Adkins). I'd rank our RB for 2014 as the following:
1.) Adkins
2.) Powell
3.) Dotson
4.) Lindsay

And yes I am prepared to include Lindsay in the top 4 rotation based on HCMM's comments. So far I don't think HCMM has ever deceived us. When he has said a kid can ball and is ready to get snaps (Gillam, Awuzie, Adkins) he has been dead on. He is saying Lindsay can ball and is impressing, so yes, I believe him more than your take on him based on what he looked like coming out of HS and off of injury.

If that is the depth chart heading into 2014, it's 2013 all over again.

Creer doesn't seem like he's ever going to be much of a contributor. Crowder isn't even on the team currently. TJ, uh, doesn't look like the answer. Lindsay is 5'7 170. Dotson weighed in at 160 pounds over the summer at the SPARQ combine. Powell almost retired last offseason due to concussion issues and has been riddled with injuries so far this year. I think it'd be wise to add another RB, preferably one larger in size. Vic Enwere would be most excellent.

uuummmm, Ballage ?

Uh oh. Could mean two things, and neither are good.

1. He might like adult contemporary songs about one night stands.

2. ????
