I guess, it is about building relationships and having a chance to sell a kid on flipping, but these kind of things always seem like long-long shots... From CU's perspective, why spend the money to support some kid's "experience" vacation?

He will see Boulder twice during his college career anyway... hopefully he doesn't enjoy the "experience" much as he and his team walk away with losses.

Good players know other good players and the money spent is not an issue.

Long shot or not we need yo take the chance.
Flipping Gurode and Cormier late years ago was huge.
