Kid is a tank. Fared well at the Denver Rivals camp, hitting lots of camps this summer. Figured he'd land some P5ers. Sounded like he liked Baylor a couple months ago, but no offer there.

Vype wrote his twitter link wrong. It is @_PatrickTaylor, but they linked it to some Phantom of the Opera fan in Tennessee named Patrick Taylor who doesn't capitalize his name in his twitter handle. :lol:

Anyway, I think this is one of those under-the-radar recruits who could really do something. As I have said before: you can't have too many guys on your roster who stand over 6 feet tall, weigh over 200 lbs and run under a 4.5 forty.
 
I feel as if this is one of those "fell through the cracks" recruit.
 
I really liked his highlights. After watching too many running backs dance around and seemingly find a way to run away from open space and right into a defender, it is refreshing to see a running back that runs downhill, has such a fast burst from a complete stop, and makes those quick little moves that gains him 3, 5, 10 and more yards (after where our running backs would have been tackled).
 
This guy seems okay. Good size and makes good on the move cuts. But he only seems to have one gear and lumbers a little bit when he needs to turn the corner or make deep cuts. Don't like him too much at RB, but like him at LB.
 
If i remember right, Jordan Dizon and George Hypolite were RB recruits out of high school. same with Polk. logic seems to stand that if you can make people miss or go through them, you can hit them too?

Hard to be a RB if you don't like contact.

Bigger factor is that at the HS level you want your best athletes in position to have the biggest impact on the game.

These days that means if a kid is your outstanding athlete and can throw the ball he is probably going to be your QB. If he can't throw or you have a kid who can and is good enough then he is going to be playing RB or WR depending on the offense you are running.

Doesn't mean his best position is the one he is playing but that his talent is more valuable at that position.
