Apparently he was offered as a CB per one of his HS coaches.

Really impressive athlete. Continues the trend of focusing on DBs with the ball skills to win jump balls and create turnovers.

I spoke to Morrell Osling III for an article that will run on BuffStampede.com tomorrow morning. He has excelled at quarterback in high school (earned first-team all-league honors as a junior) but Colorado offered him as a cornerback prospect. Joe Tumpkin watched him workout at defensive back during the spring evaluation period. Colorado likes his length and upside on defense. He won state in the triple jump this spring (PR of 47-feet-seven-inches). Osling, who stands 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, has eight other offers but Colorado is his biggest offer so far. He is hoping to take trips to Colorado, Fresno State and UNLV this summer before deciding (most likely in the next month). Osling said he currently favors the Buffs.

Cremini crickets, what a surprising find. Fluid and athletic, he is not a puff ball and has some no-shiitake potential.

Can't stop watching his video. Easy strides and very fluid.

Anyone know the level of competition there?

His height is 6'3" but he has the legs of a seven footer.

The gridiron he runs upon appears to shrink to the size of hardwood.

He moves to fill empty field fast.

I went to HS at AVHS (back in the day). We compete in the Golden League ( North and East of LA Basin). Highest level of HS competition in SoCal. Playing for the CIF Southern Section Title (State Championship). Schools you are more familiar with would be competition in the CIF playoffs for that title. I don't know how competitive AVHS is now, nor how diluted the talent is given new high schools, but the area Lancaster/Palmdale tends to put out D1 talent regularly.

CIF Title Tournament would include teams like MaterDei, Long Beach Poly, St J Bosco, Muir, Crespi, etc.

His film reminds me a lot of RGIII. Not that he is a Heisman QB, but his style of play, ability, and athleticism seem similar

This is the sort of "diamond in the rough" prospect that it's easy to get behind. California state triple jump champ on a 6'2" frame with the overall athleticism to be a quarterback and who the coaches scouted directly. This is where you take your risks, because the upside is as high as it gets.

That's a freaking impressive diamond in the rough. Athletes like that you get into your program and hope they develop.

Boulder will be like paradise to Osling this weekend. That Cali high desert is brown and hot with the wind always blowing. It would not surprise to see a commitment On his trip

I'm very excited about this recruit. Rare combination of size and athleticism. If he develops, Osling is the type of guy who can play on Sundays.

Gonna be fun to watch him develop over the next 4 of 5 years.

Whoo! Definitely has the athleticism. Hopefully he gets some time at DB this year to help with his development.
