Tumpkin recruiting for CU. I didn't see an offer tweet from Tucker that I could post here. However, I did find the Tom Lemming tweet about him (a 39" vertical is big time):

Is he an Ath or a S?

He'll either play OLB or S. I guess that means possibly at NB, too. Considering that Tumpkin is pretty much solo on this (no position coach with him), I went ahead and assumed that CU is looking at him as a S/NB rather than as an OLB as the position he'd come in at.

Congrats and good luck to him. Is it crazy to wonder if his CU offer wasn't "commitable" while we waited to hear from others?

Possible. But Pitt has been heavily recruiting Florida since it hired Dave Wanstedt. They have lots of relationships down there and a headstart on CU with the recruiting network. Not a huge upset for them to win a recruiting battle for a Florida kid.
