No offer yet, but Scout just tagged him in an article naming the top 35 OLBs out West. Recently followed/followed back by AJ Baer, Cory Hall, and coach Jeffcoat. Wondering if he will be at our junior day. 247 has Nebraska showing interest. This kid could be on the verge of blowing up.

Edit: younger brother of CSU DLineman Toby McBride.

His brother had a good year as a true freshman. People are probably realizing they overlooked him, and don't want to make the same mistake with Trey. If he is a good student like his brother, he'd have to seriously consider CU. Will be interesting to see how his recruitment unfolds.

No insight, but I'd guess he some day calls Fort Collins home. He's a good athlete, averages nearly a double-double in basketball.

He's a better overall athlete than his brother and taller. His athleticism on the basketball court really shows his potential. Moves well, dunks and receives set play alley oops. From what I've heard, CU has a shot at him.

CSU has a history of recruiting the older brother then getting the younger brother to follow even when he could have gone to a higher level program. Doesn't work that way always though Dusty Sprague played at CU after he had two older brother play in Ft. Collins.

If he wants a chance to play in a P5 conference in major venues then CSU can't offer him that, CU can.

If he's a better athlete than his brother, I'm impressed. Toby was a dominant three time state champion wrestler, and a national champ, too. For those who are unaware, Colorado produces a lot of good college wrestlers - Toby could have gone almost anywhere, if he didn't enjoy the gridiron more. It would be a very good get if Trey turns out to be an even better athlete and chooses Boulder.

I'm usually opposed to having a big % of a class come from in-state, but I keep really liking the prospects. I'd love for McBride to be a Buff. Great size and athleticism to be one heck of a Pac-12 linebacker. Really hoping we're able to land him.

That's why I don't think the 2018 class is viewed correctly by most people. There is some solid talent in the state this year, but many are relatively unknown at this moment.

Assume/ hope not too significant an article as it relates to Mr. McBride's final college decision, but here's an article related to him-

I don't believe a Colorado fan would "like" seeing McBride go to csu. Ignore doesn't work as well on my phone.
