'18 WA WR Daniel Arias (SIGNED to COLORADO)

Picked up a Michigan State offer.

Not reflected in OP, while the Michigan State one is.... In fact we are missing exactly one half of his claimed offers.

Also missing: UConn, Dartmouth, CSU, Navy, Holy Cross, SDSU, Utah St., Yale,

Offers like Michigan State are important.

Not only do they show that other successful coaching staffs think he can play but also if we can close him it means a lot to our recruiting.

A lot of these kids pay attention to other kids. If we close a kid who has offers from other "name" schools then kids take notice. They ask themselves if he had options for those other schools and came to Colorado what does CU have and are more willing to look.

I'd love my kid to have offers from Yale and Dartmouth but to a kid who has NFL dreams and wants to play on national TV Michigan State and UCLA are much more important.

Scout's Greg Biggins saw Arias at UCLA's camp and gave a great review a week or so ago LINK:

Daniel Arias was very impressive at the UCLA Elite Camp on Friday and showed he's among the top pass catchers in the region.

Arias has a great frame, long and athletic and showed plenty of speed, running past defensive backs all camp. He has strong hands, uses his body well to create separation and has gotten significantly better in the last year. His upside is obvious and his game is definitely trending in the right direction.

Regular theme of the guys this staff has recruited, they recruit with the idea that guys will continue to improve.

This could be another one of those guys that everyone ask themselves how they missed on.
