'19 CA DT Jacob Bandes (Signed to Washington)

This is the game we wanted to play. Big boy football.

Blue Chip Defensive Linemen are one of the most scarce resources and every program wishes they had more.

There just aren't many human beings who can be 6'3, 300 pounds at 16 years old that are super quick and athletic and not slow and fat.

I don’t get caught up in recruiting too much. But yeah, this guy is a huge get if it happens for us. We would be so much better with a big fast game changer DL

His mother is pushing him towards UW. Not looking good for us!
I thought they really connected with CU? I guess maybe this case shows a downside to early visits. Hell. I don’t know. Recruiting is hard.

Recruits often connect with more than one coaching staff.

Seriously?

I was being a little flippant after hearing his mom is pushing him to go to UW but having previously heard they loved CU’s staff. I get that it’s a hard process for players and family. They get the royal treatment everywhere they go.

Uhh, yea.

I get you were being flippant, but the Washington angle is not really news. You don't schedule an OV six months out with a school you are mildly interested in.

His visit here got us squarely in the conversation, which is no small feat. But closing is an entirely different animal.

He hasn't made his OV to UW, right? Is this good news in ruling at least UW out?

I'm sort of confused on why he needs more time after his commit. The Army game is in Jan of next year, so it makes sense he wants to commit before that, graduate, and then get to campus early...but "I will need more time after my commit"?

Needs more time to get things in order at the school he is going to is my guess.
