I'm really high on Birmingham and apparently so is the BSU staff. He's listed as a "high target" for us on 247. I don't know who listed him as such but presumably they have some sort of knowledge in order to put him there.

I do find it interesting that of all the huge list of offers that he has, you Buff bastards who are trying to steal him away from me are one of three listed as "Warm" interest on his profile. (Guessing due to the official visit planned for this weekend?)

Consider us stealing some of your recruits as restitution owed for Dan Hawkins.
 
I think you guys are over-thinking it. A lot of guys get early offers but don't get the more prestigious offer to visit. When a guy takes an official, the team recruiting him is serious. That often puts kids further on folks radars, and can cause some more offers to come in, essentially, teams trying to get into the conversation who missed it earlier.

The twitter timing is meaningless.

If you are Miss State or WSU and you are offering a kid the same weekend he's visiting CU, you are not only late to the party, but you are not going to get a visit (barring some weird connection such as being a legacy).
