2 Hawaii starters arrested and suspended

Hawaii is the best school in, like, a 2,300 mile radius. Not many schools can boast such things.

Coming from the guy who thinks boulder high is a good school.

Dude, you want to start a freaking soccer cheer for a punter. You have absolutely ZERO room to criticize.

Fairview sucks. This is a well known fact. Your meager attempts at convincing the masses otherwise are doomed to failure.

At 6' 4", 230 pounds Bright would have been a handful. His replacement is a 5' 7" 145 sophomore.

Yikes.

Fairview, the ole' of high schools.

Are they officially suspended for the game? One of the UH boards last night didn't think Bright would be suspended once the case was reviewed.

How can you be suspended and not miss game time?

Does "suspended" at Hawaii mean you don't have to practice? (like that is punishment)

Maybe "suspended" at Hawaii means you don't get to eat at the football training table or something.

I'm pretty sure that they haven't been allowed at practices and team meetings all week. When there's an arrest, it's school policy that they don't participate in team activities until it is cleared.

That's a nice punishment.

No practice. No meetings.

Remember to bring your helmet for the football game, boys.

Lame. Suspend = does not play in my book.

I believe the issue is that the players are suspended right now, but that the athletic director and the head coach were meeting today to discuss the issue.
If they can make the argument that the players are being falsely accused, need to have their day in court, etc., then they could lift the suspensions pending the resolution of the court cases.

We need all the help we can get, but I never hope for this kind of help. Too bad some of these kids don't have more sense (and we've had our share, maybe more).

Allen Sampson is hella fast and now weighs 155 for what it's worth. Normally small guys would be working the slot. However, he is less likely to get jammed at the line of scrimmage as a wideout. Bright has barely practiced a week in fall camp due to injuries. Sampson has taken all of the reps.At LB Brown is a playmaker, but has a very servicable back-up. McBride, a JUCO transfer, is a lot faster than Brown, but he gives up 20-30 lbs. While, it is reported that both Brown and Bright were arrested, only Brown was on the books as being actually arrested. According to the UH code of conduct, an arrest is a major violation and results in immediate suspension while the program investigates. Once the investigation is completed, the players may be reinstated or punished accordingly.
