2010 WR recruiting

Obviously, this has been one of most-watched positions on the team over the last couple seasons. It should once again be a major focus of the 2010 class. Here's a look at some guys we are after:

1. DeAndrew White-4* speedster out of the Houston area that seems to be favoring SEC schools, but could look in our direction with some wins on the field. Really wants a Texas offer that may never come, this guy would instantly upgrade our speed big time. Grades may be an issue.

2. Dyjuan Lewis-4* out of the midwest who has the size we seem to covet. He still seems open to most of the schools recruiting him, this is another guy we can impress with some early wins.

3. Kenny Stills-4* speedster out of San Diego County that is one of the most highly sought after WRs in the West. We have a shot at getting an official visit here. Seems to be favoring Oklahoma, UCLA, and Cal a bit right now and he has official visits set up to Penn State, Florida, and Oklahoma. All of the visits are late in the season however, and some teams might fill up at WR before then. We have been able to pluck some players out of San Diego County since Hawk's arrival, let's hope it continues.

4. Paul Richardson-4* whom originally committed to UCLA back in the early Spring, but has since re-opened his recruitment. We have a very good shot at getting an official visit here as he is friends with Clark Evans from playing with him his junior season. Seems to have a top four of UCLA, Cal, Arizona State, and the Buffs.

5. Chris Hawkins-3* speedster out of the Houston area who seems to be open to many schools right now. One guy to keep an eye on.

6. Jimmy Hall-3* out of Ohio who plans on taking official visits. It could be a tough pull out of the midwest, but his hometown is just outside of Toledo. Perhaps we can convince to get to the stadium that Friday night.

7. Tyler Slavin-3* out of So Cal that intends to make an official visit here sometime during the season. Washington and Arizona seem to have a slight edge here, but Nebraska, Northwestern, and the Buffs are also in the mix.

8. Kyle Guinyard-Currently unrated by Rivals, but the Texas rivals site has ranked amongst the top 100 players in Texas. He has long favored Texas Tech and Kansas, but Texas Tech may not have room for him. Might not be a priority because his high school (same as Graham Harrell's) runs a pure spread offense.

9. Reggie Wilkins-Currently unrated by Rivals as an athlete, but I think he is best suited for the offensive side of the ball. Versatile player who plays QB for his high in North Carolina. The Tar Heels and NC State lead here, but he has set up an official visit for the CSU game. Would be a nice pull out of the South.

Nice list, BB!

One more that people should keep an eye on:

10. Austin Hill-3* teammate of Tyler Slavin who is rated a bit higher. Great size/speed combo (6'3"/4.5 40) with Nebraska, Utah and Arizona leading and getting official visits. Other than those 3, the top offers we are competing against are Arizona State and Northwestern.

We have some other offers out, but our chances don't look as good because they've either verbaled elsewhere or there's a strong indication that they're not really considering CU.
