Join us tonight for the 8.05 pm tip-off live from Coors Events center. Stanford comes to town as PacHoops noted with something to prove, mainly that they are a far, far better team than they have demonstrated year today. The Buffs come in needing a sweep of the Cali schools this week to really keep their early season tournament aspirations alive. Will the Buffs be able to avenge last seasons two losses to the 'Furd or will we see a repeat of the absolute beat down they gave us last year in the keg?

For all of the out of state fans, as always AllBuffs Game Day Chat will be up.

I want to beat these guys so bad. Stanford really seems to have our number in pretty much every sport. Time to turn that around.

XJ starting tonight in place of Chen for match-up reasons.

Chasson Randle dropped 18 and 20 against us last year going a combined 13-21 and 7-12 from 3. Who gets the start on him tonight? Dinwiddie?

No way Stanford shoots nearly as good as they did last year at The Keg. We're gonna win!

This game makes me nervous... but I think with the students all back you will see an awesome atmosphere tonight. That would be if y'all show up!

Anybody making the trek back to Denver tonight after the game be aware of this:

[h=1]Eastbound lanes of U.S. 36 being realigned tonight; one lane closed from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m Friday[/h]
The Colorado Department of Transportation tonight will realign the eastbound lanes of U.S. 36 from Old Wadsworth Parkway to just east of Church Ranch Boulevard.

The realignment is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. and will be completed by 5:30 a.m. Friday.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane in the area, and the eastbound U.S. 36 off-ramp to Church Ranch Boulevard will be closed from 1 a.m. to 4:30 a.m., with traffic detoured to the Sheridan Boulevard off-ramp. RTD bus routes will not be affected.

We're in for a close one IMO due to the match ups. Hope the crowd can bring it, we're going to need every advantage we can get. This is by far the most challenging of the two games this week. Stanford occasionally takes a night off and completely sucks, but they also occasionally show up and play extremely well. Buffs better be ready to play. If they can't get fired up to beat a team that walloped them by 24 in the Keg last year (and 20 on the road), then something is wrong. We're in "must-win" territory.

Yeah, it'd be nice to have the keg actually look full. So far, it hasn't looked particularly impressive in any of the games that I have watched. The commentators do go on about the atmosphere though, so it must be good. But it just doesn't look like it on tv. Perhaps it's because the cameras usually only show the first five rows or so and they appear to be about 30% empty a lot of the time.

I think we have to see The Mayor on Randle. That should be a fun matchup to watch.
