You've heard us refer to the Pac-12 as the "Conference of Champions" many times before. Pac-12 tennis is a big part of why we can say that. Some background:

  • A Pac-12 team has won four of the last five NCAA men's titles and two of the last four NCAA women's titles.
  • A Pac-12 man has won three of the last four NCAA singles titles.
  • A Pac-12 woman has won the last three NCAA singles titles.
  • A Pac-12 women's doubles team has won the past six NCAA championships.

Not bad, right? Starting April 23 for the men and April 24 for the women, you can follow your team at the 2014 Pac-12 Men's and Women's Tennis Championships in Ojai, Calif., as the conference revs up for another record-setting postseason. Find results, recaps, photos and more all week long on Pac-12.com, then watch the conclusion of each championship Sunday, April 27 on Pac-12 Networks.

The women's singles championships will be played live on all seven networks and online via Pac-12 Now at 10 a.m. PT. The men's team championship match will air tape-delayed at 5 p.m. PT, followed by the tape-delayed women's doubles final at 7 p.m. PT.

Find more info on the 2014 Pac-12 Men's and Women's Tennis Championships page as the event approaches.

Looks like both Buffs are out of the singles championship draw in the first round. The Buffs still have a team in the doubles championship draw tomorrow with Steur and Tiefel taking on a team from WSU. The last couple of Buffs competing are Alkhovic and Tiefel at the singles invitational draw which is today, but I don't have the results left.

Results from today's matches. The only Buffs still playing are their lone doubles team which plays tomorrow.

With the losses by the Buffs doubles teams, it looks like their season is officially over. There's still the NCAA singles and doubles tournaments left, but I don't think that we'll have anyone qualify.
