2015 Coaching Carousel

Former DP writer Buddy Martin seems to think if Muschamp doesn't win the division he is toast. Buddy is a UF guy, he is retired in Ocala, I am buying what he is selling.

Anyone with "former DP writer" as their title is a ****tard.

As a UF alumnus, IMO, Muschamp's seat is warm but not hot...if UF fails to reach a bowl again, he's gone, but otherwise I think he gets another year - last year the team was torpedoed by QB Jeff Driskel's season-ending injury combined with the gross incompetence of Brent Pease as the OC...this year, Driskel is healthy, Pease is gone and replaced by Kurt Roper who appears to have the offense going in the right direction (albeit through a 1 game sample size against weak competition)...the real test for how UF's season will go will be the game at 'Bama in 2 weeks - that will set the tone for whether or not UF is back on the right track after last year's dumpster fire...

Your username is a little misleading.

some rumors floating around in DFW that Houston Nutt wants the SMU job,..... or is that Houston Nutt wants a job ? you be the judge

Heard a snippet today on Mark Packer's show on Sirius that our very own beloved Dan Hawkins may be interviewing for the job.

Jobs open:

SMU

Of Interest:

Nicholls St. HC Charlie Stubbs stepped down, they are FCS, but CU plays them next year so, FWIW.

Ive always wanted to see Dan Hawkins try to coach in Texas. Can you imagine the pressers?

reporter: "tough game today, coach. What are your thoughts on what went wrong?"
Hawk: "Well, we will have to pound it some, launch it some."
reporter: "OK. Ummmm. The defense seemed like it was out of position a few times out there, can you comment"
Hawk: "unless you're a coach, you don't understand. It's a process. We work on the little things. We bring our lunch pails. We get our horns out. We cinch it up."
Reporter: "You have no idea what you are doing, do you?"

Just heard that Texas kicked off both half's due to coaching and captain error. Whoa. Charlie had better hurry up or..... And no I would not trade him for MacII.

Wow it must be hot in Austin presently.

So UCLA wins the toss and elects to defer. And then Texas chooses to kickoff. So UCLA will get it twice.

Looking at Hawaii's boards, it's clear there's not much support for Norm. Granted, you'd expect heat coming off a 1-11 season and 5-22 overall. What's magnifying it, though, is UH fans love them some shootouts and Chow's offense has sputtered. Flip side is UH doesn't have much money and Hawaii appears to be better this season. If they can get 5 wins he probably gets another year.

I have already emailed SMU that if they hire HaLk I will not give them another cent.

Weird day for Tech, Stephenville got beat by Lubbock Cooper with Kingsbury looking on. That qb they got looks pretty good though, like that little bowling ball rb Stephenville has too, he's only a sophomore.
