2016: Recruiting News, Notes & Official Visitors

He is typically pretty spot on with his analysis though.
I was more referring to Diego:
Diego is one of the most talented players that I have ever seen come through Chris Sailer Kicking. He has a huge leg, does all 3 at the highest level, and is very strong mentally. Has all the tools to dominate our college game at every position. Plays football in Mexico and should have NCAA eligibility. If you needs someone to step in and play, do your research on Diego now. OFFER NOW!!!

Just recently got offered by Baylor. S/o to @Buffnik for quoting his tweet. He confirmed he is a '16 ready to play OL.

If they've started games in a P5 conference and can transfer and play immediately, get them here. Blanket the country finding these guys.

Thanks to @Buffnik for being the first to mention this on Twitter, but TTU has released 3 players, including their returning leading tackler ILB Dakota Allen, for "not upholding student/athlete expectations". The other two are OL Robert Castaneda and Trace Ellison.

All of them were 3* recruits out of high school with multiple P5 offers in the 2014 class (Ellison was 2015). Some potential guys to kick the tires on for a 2nd chance at CU?

**** YES.

Don't care so much about the OL guys- if they're going to commit to developing prospects it's too long in the cycle to be taking a bunch of transfers, but CU needs all the LBs they can get. LB will be scary, scary, scary if there are any injuries this year (and there are ALWAYS injuries).

Is this technically a transfer, if they were released from their scholarship by the university? How does this work as far as eligibility goes?

One year in residence when going D1-D1 until eligible to play if an undergrad.

If that's the case, that's unfortunate that it wouldn't help our LB corps this year, but I'd still be taking a chance on all 3 to come in, learn the system and compete in 2017... Especially the OL guys.

This isn't ***bailer but it is a Texas school. If these guys got dismissed they did something significant.

Not going to say flat out no but also don't want us to go grabbing them without knowing for sure that they aren't going to be character issues at CU.

I trust our coaches. They're high character guys. Not like CU has dirtbags running things. They'll vett and we don't need to worry imo.
