2017: Recruiting News, Notes & Official Visitors

A couple new offers today:

[tweet]601529997602394112[/tweet]

[tweet]601529297174560768[/tweet]

New offer to a '17 WDE/OLB from Houston. K'Lavon Chaisson is going to have offers everywhere by this time next year.

[tweet]612105533617627136[/tweet]

MacIntyre and other coaches were in Houston today, so I assume it came from that. Needless to say, this would be a huge recruiting win. Early offer from LSU, according to 247s.

Walters recruit. CB with some good early offers. George Ranch HS in TX.

Can I assume that this is Darrens son? I know that I would love to see DC come back to CU to recruit for us (we really wanted T Brown). Interesting if CU has interest and he picks us over where his Dad coaches.

yes his dad visited with him

Here's the tweet that Adam linked:

Be cool if he could earn a ship to the Buffs (even if it would make me feel ancient ).

Might think that TTU would have an inside edge but he has been around his dad long enough to know that college assistants tend not to be around in one place long enough to make long term decisions around.

Dad seems to be on his way up in the coaching ranks. Would be surprising if he is at TTU more than another couple years.

DJ Brown from the ATL. Buffs are planting the flag in Georgia.

If Clark can get us some success out there, then I am all for it. Lots of talent down there in SEC country. If it becomes our next recruiting cash cow, then so be it.

Why do linked tweets not appear? All I see is [tweet]alongnumber[/tweet].

Looks like a new 2017 offer (assuming tweet below is accurate), Jonathon MacCollister from Deland, FL (Bishop Moore Catholic). Per http://247sports.com/Player/Jonathon-MacCollister-70711 (link in below tweet)- good size defensive end already- 6'4", 258 lbs. Per the 24/7 link, already has offers from Auburn, Clemson, Boston College, Charlotte and Cincinnati, and has a 3 star composite rating.

EDIT- And, via another twitter search, looks like the Buffs maybe REALLY busy on the 2017 recruiting front right now-

That's the result of the old site design. The new info way to post a tweet is [ MEDIA=twitter]insert full twitter link here[/ MEDIA] but without the space before the MEDIAs.

And, I haven't even needed to include the 2 Media parts you're mentioning at the beginning and the end when trying to post a tweet. I've just been pasting the full tweet address and that's enough to get the tweet to appear. (If I go into the message to edit it or whatever, the Media parts are there as you mention, so must be added automatically by the software.)

And a couple other highly recruited/ rated young men look to have possibly received Buff offers, both from the Peachtree State. (The two of them combined seem to have been offered by seemingly every "power" program)-

1) DB/ Athlete Deangelo Gibbs from Peachtree Ridge Varsity Football, Suwanee, GA (Per 24/7 #1 or 2 rated CB in the country, and #4 overall recruit)-

2) Corner/ RB/ Athlete Jamyest Williams from Archer High School Varsity Football, Lawrenceville, GA (24/7 #63 overall ranked recruit, #6 ranked "athlete")

The below in most cases are obviously partly/ only based on tweets from the athletes themselves, so can’t vouch for accuracy, but looks like the Buffs continue to be busily offering 2017 class players (See WasianCU also found a tweet re Mr. Jarell's offer):

Scott Young, WR/ Safety for Helix High in San Diego

http://247sports.com/Player/Scott-Young-81355 (They show us and San Jose State as offers so far)

http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3036073/scott-young

Maxpreps (No stats or anything, but they rank his team #9 in California, so pretty good)- http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/scott-young/plhxlBG6EeOZ5AAmVebBJg/default.htm

Kaelib Jarrell, DB from Saguaro High School, Scottsdale, AZ

http://247sports.com/Player/KJ-Jarrell-83359 (Showing 6 offers, 5 from other Pac 12 teams plus Wisconsin)

http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3408878/kaelib-jarrell

Stats (to the extent you can tell much from stats for a DB)- http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/kaelib-jarrell/xgU_c_4lEeKZ5AAmVebBJg/gendersport/football-stats.htm

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Popo Aumavae, already BIG (6’3”, 300 lbs.) defensive tackle (per hudl) and/ or offensive guard (per ESPN) from St. Mary's High, Stockton, CA. (a QUICK search couldn’t find a 247 or other entry for him which would list any other offer/ colleges’ interest.)

Terrell Bynum, 4 star WR from Anaheim (Calif.) Servite HS

http://247sports.com/Player/Terrell-Bynum-77642 (16 offers showing, with I believe 14 (plus CSU and SDSU) being from P5 schools.)

http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3152138/terrell-bynum
