2017: Recruiting News, Notes & Official Visitors

And, it looks like the Buffs also offered yesterday big JC Leftside OT Ronald Rudd III currently at of Chaffey College of Rancho Cuckamunga CA. (Looks like he attended Miller HS in Fontana previously to his JC days.)

(Per his twitter profile, he's a December grad, I assume from his JC?)

Per a WSU-related article I found (http://www.cougcenter.com/2016/2/10...g-notebook-focus-quickly-shifts-to-2017-class), sounds like at minimum he also holds offers from WSU, Louisville and Missouri.

Buffs also yesterday offered heavily recruited lineman Kanan Ray from Sierra Canyon HS, Chatsworth, CA. (Interesting to see what position he ends up in college, as HUDL has him as a T/ DT, Maxpreps as a T/ DE, 247 as a G, and Rivals and Scout as an OT. Based on the use of majority vote this election year, maybe an OT?)

http://247sports.com/Player/Kanan-Ray-87614 (MANY (17) offers already, with the Buffs being his 7th Pac 12 offer. For what its worth, said Tennnessee was his childhood "dream school" when they offered ~ a week ago.)

Oui!

The Buffs have joined the crowd of many other elite schools and offered WR Tyjon Lindsey from Corona, CA (Centennial HS). (Awesome graphics on the tweet.) Note- looks like he has transferred to Centennial from Bishop Gorman, as the Youtube highlights he links to in his twitter, as well as stats I could find on Maxpreps, are for Gorman.

http://247sports.com/Recruitment/Tyjon-Lindsey-73882/RecruitInterests (16 offers showing not counting the Buffs, including Oregon, USC, UCLA, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma and T A&M.)

Offer made to Oklahoma commit WR FS Ceedee (Cedarian) Lamb from Foster High School in Richmond, TX.

http://247sports.com/Player/CeeDee-Lamb-77892 (As noted above, already committed (this past December) to Oklahoma. Also showing 4 other offers not including CU, including OkSU and Illinois.)

Buffs offer one of the top centers in the country (247 actually rates him #1 at the position) - Brett Neilon from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (Santa Margarita Catholic HS).

http://247sports.com/Player/Brett-Neilon-80764 (Not including the Buffs, 14 offers showing including most of the Pac 12 and Michigan.)

Not surprised to see us back in Michigan. I'm guessing Tumpkin is up there. Really like him. Hopefully he can effectively add our presence to Florida Texas Louisiana and Michigan.

Sounds like even Jeffcoat is getting into the excitement. DC has really added explosiveness to recruiting.

Welllll how you gonna make me look dumb in front of my allbuffs bros like that lol.

He's in on the DeSoto guys tho. We will take moral victories where we can duff :p

I just think it is important to note that the renewed efforts in Dallas/Fort Worth are mostly due to Chev and Hagan. Jeffcoat has essentially been pulled back quite a bit.

Without revealing your sources how do you know this? I rarely heard much about Jeffcoat on the trail before and now he's shown up in a few things.

Jeffcoat has less recruiting responsibilities than he did before.

To be honest it would be hard for him to do less actual effective recruiting than before.

Maybe, even though his responsibilities have been reduced, he is getting inspired by the work of the others and is putting more work into what he does.

I hope so because as much as I like M2 as a coach if we continue to have substantial dead weight on the staff at recruiting time he isn't going to be the head coach to much longer.
