2017 Season Hype/Countdown Thread

The thing about this season that gives us the most hope for having another great year (not just making a bowl, but Top 15ish) is that Lindsay might just go off and generate over 2,000 yards of offense over 12 games. The pressure that would take off of Montez and the defense would change everything.

Improvement in the physicality of the OL would go a long way towards making this happen, but Lindsay not getting caught from behind is the main thing that will determine if that's feasible. He left a lot of yards on the table once he got to the 2d level last year.

He did leave a lot of yards last year but I'm still encouraged by the significant improvement over the year before. Previously, he would seek contact and punish defenders even if there was open grass. Last season, he had a lot better understanding on when to hit guys and when to avoid them.

While his technique and athletic skills are impressive in their own right, it's Lindsey's Intangibles that stand out.

He is a leader that draws out excellence in others. He demands that the whole team acts like dogs. When he is asked for a post game presser, he brings the whole O-line with him.

He is a front runner for the Buffalo heart.

Just as we knew well in advance that Sefo would win that award last year, I feel the same about Lindsay this year.

Starting to feel the preseason excitement a bit. Very focused on the Rockies right now.

That is an idea to relish if there ever was one, and all served up to him by the o-line.

Just a bit?! The heck's wrong with you? Can't wait to see Montez and the blackout boys. Mention of the Rockies belongs on some other inferior fan board.

Rockies have second best record in the MLB...what's wrong with you? :p

Huntley looks like he could level an LB. Imagine the blocking potential, rotating in with Bobo and all the others. See more big runs for PL.

SB Nation came out with a list of all the early betting lines for 77 different games.. CU on the list 4 times, favored in 3

CU -8 vs CSU
UCLA -4 vs CU
CU -1 vs Wash State
CU -1 vs Utah

A few others to note...
Oregon -4 vs Nubs
Wisconsin -8 vs Nubs
Nubs -3 vs Iowa
Oregon -1 vs Wyoming
USC -12 vs Texas
Washington -15.5 vs UCLA
Washington -21 vs Utah

Basically UW favored to roll through everyone this year, and Nebraska ****ing sucks. Also found another site that has CSU as a 2 point favorite over Oregon State.

I think Oregon State is going to be a lot better than most people think.

Gary Anderson is a good coach but he hasn't had much success without Dave Aranda running his defenses (25-47 with 1 winning season). We'll see how he does in year 3 in Corvallis.

I think CSU is going to give them a tougher time than most here.

Some replays from last season (I also can't find the thread with all of the rest of them). Watching some of these again, it reminds me of just how good this offense can be. Also how special that senior class was.
