2018 WBB Recruit Profile Index

A little more I could find on her-

https://prospectsnation.com/player/priscilla-williams (A TALL (6'2") guard or forward, Ms. Williams is their #11 ranked recruit in her class.)

http://www.theathleticsdepartment.c...2016-2017-UIL-All-District-Girls-19-6A-45583/ (Her high school district's "Newcomer of the Year".)

Report from the "Heart of Texas 2017 Showcase" held late spring- http://www.bluestarmedia.org/heart-texas-2017/ -
"
...
Priscilla Williams – 2020 – 6-3 – Forward – (Katy, TX – CyFair Premier Blue) – Aggressive forward prospect…Rail thin but showed willingness to mix it up on boards and in paint…Elevates in paint for over-the-rim finishes…Challenges shots defensively due to substantial extension…still figuring out “her” game…Occasionally took ill-advised perimeter shots or over-dribbled.
...
"

A short highlight video-

This weekend is prime for recruits and it appears that at least one will be making an official, Sirena Tuitele a 6-2 forward from Chico, CA. I am guessing there will be others.

Looks like Nwoke and Tuitele were the two official visitors this past weekend.

One known scheduled official visit for the upcoming weekend is Jullian Archer.

Looks like Archer was at USC this past weekend. Don't know if she ever made an official visit to CU.

It looks like she passed on her final two visits, so she must have been impressed with her weekend here. Seems like a young lady whose game is on the rise which explains her lack of exposure before this summer.

Welcome and congrats to Ms. Tuitele! (She was 1st noted in Allbuffs as a Buff prospect in MarkW's post #52 of this thread.)

Edit- Forgot to include some basic info on her. Sirena (Peanut) Tuitele is a 6'2" center on her high school team, but from the below Prospect Nation quotes, assume she projects as a wing-forward with the Buffs. She currently plays for Pleasant Valley HS in Chico California, and the JBS Basketball Club Team (http://www.jbsbasketball.com/jbs-adidas-gauntlet-1.html) .

A few things I could find regarding her-
  • I couldn't find her included in their Recruit Database or rankings, but a couple Prospect Nation notes on her-
From https://prospectsnation.com/story/summer-invite-delights-2017 - "... However, the July stock-riser of this group is Serina Tuitele who brings energy, hustle and a scoring touch as a 6-2 wing-forward."

And (also included in MarkW's post #52, but copied here to have things in one place), from https://prospectsnation.com/story/elite-earned-shootout-risers -

Sirena Tuitele (Chico, Calif.), JBS Gauntlet I – 2018

Sirena "Peanut" Tuitele is a matchup problem at the forward spot for JBS.

The 6-2 Tuitele has to be in the mix as one of the biggest risers of the summer and her play at the EIE Shootout only emphasized it. She is a smooth athlete who is really difficult to defend at the high post because of her quickness, power, ability to hit the mid-range jumper as well as blow by defenders to the rim.
"
  • Looks like she was named Northern (California) section MVP her sophomore season, and was 1st Team All-North Section this past season.-"

http://www.chicoer.com/article/NA/20170405/SPORTS/170409879

(As the post of her team, looks like she wasn't called on to shoot from distance that often (only 60 attempts), but the stats do show her at 37% from 3 over her high school years to date. Overall, a 62% shooting % is obviously VERY good, even for a center.)
  • Like a few recent bball Buffs, she also looks to be an accomplished volleyball player, as she was named All Northern Section as a middle blocker in that sport also this past season- http://www.chicoer.com/article/NA/20170125/SPORTS/170129826 . (Note- looking at her school's Maxpreps stats, doesn't look like she's playing vball this season.)

With Swartz and Tuitele on board for this class my guess is the last target is Nwoke. She visited at the same time as Tuitele and my hunch is both were/are the primary targets. Thus my theory is that should the Buffs land Nwoke she will complete this recruiting class, at least for the fall signing period.

JR & Co may look at a transfer (juco or 4 year) in the spring or perhaps another foreign player.

Camilla's twin sister, Kira, has committed to Princeton. Article makes it sound as if they are not wanting to be recruited as a pair and are willing to go separate ways. They are both very interested in science as a major. Kira was injured last season.

Looks like there's a Colorado high school girl also in the picture

I saw her on ESPN a few days ago. She is #34 in their 2018 class rankings and is #94 overall, #16 forward with 4 star rating on ProspectsNation. Interesting article about Camilla and her twin sister on ESPN:

Edited to update Prospects Nation info.

Unfortunately, neither will be attending CU. This is just bad luck for us as Dad wants them elsewhere.

If dad doesn't want either to attend CU why is CU one of the finalists on Camilla's list? And why would be be prejudiced against CU in the first place? If I were JR I'd be working with a number of profs in the various science departments to contact her and discuss all the options she would have at CU. They've got a great reputation in physics, chemistry, etc.

She is not going to CU or NW. It's between the other two. We did make her final 4. They have already informed JR. It's nothing against CU. They are set on the Ivy League. Need to get Nwoke.
