College Football News, Rumor & Humor

Darius Slade - DL - Sun Devils
247Sports' Chris Karpman reports that Arizona State redshirt senior DE Darius Slade has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Slade (6'4/258) is on the move (presuming he takes his portal trip to its logical conclusion) for the second time in his career, having previously transferred to Arizona State from Ohio State. He posted just eight tackles (2.5 for loss) in six games for the past campaign, though to be fair to that modest production, he missed time midseason due to injury concern. Had he opted to stick it out with HC Herm Edwards for one more year, he likely would have been working as a second-team defender to open spring practice.

Solid read. On one hand let SC burn. On the other hand CU needs to take advantage and turn themselves into an SEC type program. MT is hard at work on that aspect.

Kyriq McDonald - DB - Crimson Tide
Alabama redshirt sophomore DB Kyriq McDonald has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Database.
McDonald (5'11/197) has served as a backup for much of his time in Tuscaloosa, but that did not prevent him from becoming a special teams standout. On two separate occasions last season the redshirt sophomore, who appeared in 11 games in 2018, was named Alabama's special teams player of the week.

If true she should be subject to legal punishment, costing him his scholarship and maybe his football career.
"Legal punishment?"

I'm not sure there's a prosecutable crime here - and if there is, I'm not sure there's a prosecutor who would even consider bringing charges.

Which brings us to civil liability...

Unless she's got money or assets, it's a pointless endeavor: winning a civil case against someone with minimal assets is a waste of everyone's time: a $100,000 judgement against someone with a $200 bank account is pretty worthless.

Caveat: unless she has a renter's or homeowner's insurance policy that also includes personal liability protection (even inexpensive renter's insurance policies often include a couple hundred grand of personal liability coverage).

Point is, women who make false accusations about DV or rape deserve harsh repercussions for those actions.

The drama continues:

Puka Nacua - WR - Huskies
Washington signed four-star 2019 WR Puka Nacua.
A huge get for the Huskies. Nacua decided he needed more time and didn't sign on Wednesday, and he chose the Huskies over USC -- a school he had been previously committed to -- UCLA, Utah, Oregon and BYU. Nacua told Blair Angulo of 247 Sports that one of the reasons he decommitted from USC was because he "didn't know where the program was going." Washington closes out a solid class on a strong note, and the addition of Nacua gives them 15 four-star recruits in the group.

UW has become the Polynesian destination of choice in just a couple years, with the addition of one recruiter and of course, on field success.

Wonder if he’s friends with JJ:

Calvin Ashley - T - Tigers
Auburn redshirt sophomore OL Calvin Ashley has entered the transfer portal.
Ashley (6'7/330) was a five-star high school recruit, but he's battled various injuries to start his collegiate career and perhaps a fresh start is needed for him to reach his potential. With his traits, it should be easy for Ashley to find a new home.
