2020 Recruit Profile Index & Recruiting News

Not confirmed, and sorry if this has already been noted (a search didn't find anything), looks like the Buffs may have at some point picked up a punter from New Jersey (Old Tappan).

A possible PWO pickup who looks to be from San Francisco. Maxpreps and HUDL list him as a 6'3" 190 lb. WR/ FS.

This is a really good pickup for a PWO IMO.
He had huge numbers in high school. Like the idea of having a legitimate dual threat QB available if we are going with Lewis as our starter.

Chandler seems to be a little smaller than ideal but if he can be a legitimate quality back-up we won't have to make big changes to the offense when he comes in.

This kid looks like a baller and is similar to Lamar Jackson. Maybe KD said they would offer him Jash's scholly once it cleared. Let him redshirt, put on some weight and he might be a stud at several positions. I wonder what the issue with his lack of recruitment was; grades, location, size?

Agree with many concerned takes about this class. I still have concerns. Really, until CU begins recruiting in the Top 1/2 of the PAC; then the expectations cannot be all that high... I hope that when they add in Oliver's ranking, the class will go up some. With less scholies, unless recruiting catches lightning in a bottle, this class will probably be in the bottom 4 in the PAC. The only way I see it perhaps changing is if CU gets 5 wins over their 1st 7 games--which would be monumental; and they win some de-commits. Also, if a few PAC-12 South teams (USC, UCLA, Utah) really flounder, there could be coaching changes... I think Herm is very safe at ASU, and Sumlin is probably a goner, so CU should get close to UoA.

The one thing that I find odd about this class is looking at 247's All Time Recruits for CU (I think the rankings started in about 2000), this class has 6 guys in the all-time top-250? Now this is subject to change as the rankings shift through the fall season. I'm not sure if the 247 Rankings have suffered "grade inflation" over time, but I just thought I would point that out. I was totally surprised... Does anyone have thoughts on how the All-Time rankings are skewed?

CU is 1 of 3 in hitting on 5*; about 55% in 4*, and that gives all the benefit of the doubt to all the new recruits and some past recruits--I considered Beau Bish a hit, although he did not shine in the running game, however when healthy made great contributions on special teams and played 4 years. I mostly judged a hit by meaningful contributions over 2 seasons in terms of playing a bunch of snaps.
