The team has headed to the east coast for the 1st time this season for a tournament which has begun this morning.

BOULDER — The Colorado Buffaloes are finishing the March portion of their spring golf schedule at the PING/ASU Invitational, March 25-27, in Phoenix, Ariz.
The tournament will span three days with one round (18-holes) played each day at the par 72, 6,426-yard Papago Golf Course. In total there will be 16 teams competing. They are Arizona State, Arizona, Baylor, Colorado, Denver, Harvard, Michigan, New Mexico, Northwestern, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, Stanford, UCLA, Virginia and Washington.
Play begins on Friday, March 25, at 8 a.m. PDT. Colorado has been paired with Oregon State, Virginia and San Diego State and will tee off between 8:50-9:30 a.m. from the 10th hole.

BOULDER — The University of Colorado and Oregon women's golf programs are set to co-host the 2022 Chevron Silverado Showdown, April 4-6, at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif.
The 54-hole tournament will be played at the 6,192-yard, par 72 North Course, which also hosts the PGA's Fortinet Championship in September.
Chevron is in its first year as the title sponsor of the Silverado Showdown, an event that has seen several recent winners continue on to the LPGA Tour.
"We are very excited to host the Silverado Showdown for the eighth year and welcome Chevron on board as a major sponsor," Colorado head coach Anne Kelly said. "Chevron has really come through as a huge supporter of the LPGA and is furthering their commitment to the future of women's golf with their support of the Silverado Showdown."
A total of 18 programs are scheduled to be represented at the Chevron Silverado Showdown, comprising of some of the best teams in the nation. Seven of the top 15 teams in the current NCAA Division I Women's Golf rankings will be at the event including No. 1 Stanford, No. 2 Oregon and No. 6 Arizona State.
All 11 Pac-12 Conference programs that sponsor women's golf (Utah does not) will be in attendance along with No. 5 San Jose State, No. 11 Texas A&M, BYU, Iowa State, Northwestern, San Diego State and TCU.
The tournament will comprise of three rounds; 18 holes each day. Tee times for Monday and Tuesday's first and second rounds begin at 7:45 a.m. PT/8:45 a.m. MT, off both the No. 1 and No. 10 tees. Wednesday's third and final round will feature a Shotgun Start at 8 a.m. PT/9 a.m. MT. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.
The Chevron Silverado Showdown will also feature several players who are competing at the Augusta National Women's Amateur this week. USC's Amari Avery is tied for third after two rounds at 1-over par, just one shot of the lead heading into Saturday's final round. TCU's Caitlyn Macnab is tied for 16th at 4-over while San Jose State's Antonia Malate is tied for 21st at 5-over. Six others expected to appear at Silverado failed to make the cut after two rounds, including Arizona State's Alexandra Forsterling, currently ranked No. 2 in the country.

"Our team has shown definite progress over the course of this spring and it's always good for us to compete against top tier teams," Kelly said. "We have an amazing, highly ranked group of teams set to compete this year and the Silverado North course is a fantastic venue to host this great event."

The team slipped a little in the final round, but believe this still might have been one of their best tourneys of the season, as they finish as the top unranked team, and defeated 4 ranked teams (who were between 29-48 in the country) with their tie for 9th.
Next up is Pac 12's, scheduled to be in Eugene from 4/18-20.

NAPA, Calif. — University of Colorado sophomore Hailey Schalk shot her second-straight sub-par round, a 1-under 71, to finish ninth as the 2022 Chevron Silverado Showdown closed out with the third and final round Wednesday at the Silverado Resort and Spa North Course.
As a team, the Buffaloes couldn't carry over their momentum from the second round, falling back two spots from seventh into a three-way tie for ninth after shooting 14-over, 302. Colorado, along with Washington and San Diego State, finished the 54-hole event at 36-over par, 900.
"This team has made some good progress this week and over the course of this spring after a really difficult winter," Colorado head coach Anne Kelly said. "Really happy for Hailey and her first Top 10 finish in a collegiate event."
No. 5 San Jose State held on to win the team title at 6-over par, 870, edging out No. 2 Oregon by two strokes (872). No. 11 Texas A&M and No. 26 Arizona finished tied for third at 16-over, 880. No. 5 Southern California finished fifth at 23-over, 887.

"We need to continue to work on the simple things and eliminate the doubles and triples," Kelly said. "We hosted a very successful tournament and we feel so fortunate to host at the Silverado Golf Resort."
