Obviously much more information to add (I'll be editing this thread and post A LOT), but figured I'd start this now as it was just announced the Buff men have earned a #4 seed in their region of the 2022 NIT, and will be hosting the St. Bonaventure Bonnies (a type of wolf?) in the 1st round.

The winner of the Buff's 1st round game will face the winner of regional #1 seed Oklahoma vs. Missouri State.

Full bracket (Not populated as I type this.) - https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketbal...-printable-pdf-national-invitation-tournament . (Edit - direct link of initial bracket now populated and viewable at https://www.ncaa.com/_flysystem/public-s3/files/2022 NIT Printable Bracket.jpg .)

Another draft website page which was the 1st I could find that listed all the teams were selected, what if any seed they were given, etc. - https://dknation.draftkings.com/202...s-live-stream-ncaa-tournament-mens-postseason

Go Buffs!!!

Hopefully since we knew we didn’t have a shot at the NCAA, we will be more mentally ready for the NIT than we would be if we had our hopes up only to get them dashed.

BOULDER – The University of Colorado has accepted a bid to the 2022 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) and will host St. Bonaventure in a first-round game on Tuesday, March 15, at the CU Events Center.

The Buffaloes are the No. 4 seed in one of four eight-team regions and host the No. 5 Bonnies for a 9 p.m. MT tip on ESPN2. The winner of Tuesday's will play the winner of top-seeded Oklahoma and eighth-seeded Missouri State in the second round, to be announced, March 19-20.

Second round games and the regional finals (March 22-23) will be played on campus sites at the highest seeded team barring any institutional conflicts. The NIT semifinals will take place on Tuesday, March 29, at Madison Square Garden in New York, with the championship game on Thursday, March 31.

"We're excited to be playing this time of year and we're going to embrace this opportunity," Colorado head coach Tad Boyle said. "This will be the last tournament that this team is going to be in together and experience together and we want to make it last as long as we can."

The NIT returns to the iconic New York City arena for the first time since 2019. The 2020 event was canceled due to covid and the 2021 tournament was played in Frisco, Texas.

St. Bonaventure is 20-9 overall and finished fourth in the Atlantic-10 Conference with a 12-5 record. The Bonnies fell to Saint Louis in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic-10 Tournament. The Buffaloes and Bonnies have met once, New Years Day 1942, Colorado took a 52-28 decision in St. Bonaventure, N.Y.

Colorado makes its 12th NIT appearance and first since 2019, when the Buffaloes made a run to the quarterfinals. Colorado is 13-10 all-time in the NIT, winning the title in 1940. The Buffaloes also have a runner-up finish in 1938, a third place showing in 1991 and a semifinal appearance in 2011.

Overall, this will be Colorado's 28th postseason tournament past the conference level.

Colorado is 21-11 overall and finished fourth in the Pac-12 Conference at 12-8. The Buffaloes advanced to the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals before falling to top seed Arizona. Colorado claimed its 13th 20-win season in team history and ninth under head coach Tad Boyle.

Ticket information will be available soon at CUBuffs.com/tickets or call 303-49BUFFS for more information. Season ticket holders will have until 5 p.m. on Monday to purchase their seat locations.

The 9pm tip on Thursday is definitely a downer. Don't know if we'll make it.

Looks like should they win they'll play their second match at Oklahoma.

I was at that game. Burks had the ball in his hands in the final seconds to win it. A heartbreaking loss.
I was there, as well! & heartbreaking sums it up... back then making the NIT was a huge victory. Looking back, that was just the start of a good run.

I am actually going to be in town on Tuesday for a Spring Break college visit with my family and would like to sneak up and see the game, who is going, and does anyone have any tickets to sell? It would just be me.

So just to be clear- Kansas cancels and you refund me $10 per ticket, but Bonny gets added and you charge me $20? Got it.
Rick doing Rick things. Accepts a 9pm start, overcharges, then will wonder why the place will be a quarter full. Wonder if he'll even show?

Bull**** $28 after fee, echoing the nonsense “refund” from the Kansas cancellation. Whatever, will support the team and get another night at the Dark Horse. Go Buffs, but **** Rick and his terrible handling of most everything.

The Bonnie's basically play 6 guys. It's a 9pm start here, 11pm for them. High altitude. Run them out of the building.
Looks like a senior laden team that was ranked in the preseason and probably had aspirations of dancing this year. Its always curious how much teams have to give in the NIT.

Anyone else have problems buying their seats (season ticket holder)? They said we had until 5pm, and to "login" but there was no link or way to buy seats from there.

Frustrating as **** Rick.

Yea, I was hoping to login at 5pm and get some better seats, doubting a packed house. But now I cannot get any other seats and my normal seats are still unavailable

So that was an adventure... last night I was unable to buy tickets all night (couldn't sleep tried multiple times). Wasn't able to buy tickets from yesterday evening till this morning. But finally was able to get them this morning.

Pretty hard to have a packed stadium if you cannot buy tickets...

That said, I wasnt really all that worried to get a ticket as I am sure you can buy them at the game without any issue, but I was looking for better seats.
