Sounds like Michigan has been VERY active in Colorado today. (Per another tweet, Tennessee also offered today.)

Texas reoffered, along with Cal, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Missouri, North Carolina, Penn State, and USC

Also, he is now a 4* 90 composite and 4* 90 grade on 247
Ok. I realize I’m not asserting anything new here, but these ratings systems are just ridiculous: It’s essentially the equivalent to triple hearsay or more, proposing to assert some “truth” by referring to what someone said about what someone else said about a document relating to an interpretation of an opinion.

It reminds me of what happened with the rating agengies, Moodies and S&P’s, giving rise to the housing bubble in 2008: they didn’t want to lose the business of the banks whose bonds they were supposed to be “objectively” rating, so they fraudulently maintained AAA ratings for absolute crap.

Sure, there’s some value In analyzing which players “top” programs value, but where is the actual independent analysis in all of this? Some sports reporters looking at film and saying, hey that guy looks big and fast, oh Texas likes him-90! That is meaningful?

The focus of “ratings” agencies in general seems to have have evolved into a more economic model than an informational one. Who buys their guides or “analysis,” after all?

Maybe it was always this way, and I’m just extra crabby this morning.

I'm double checking with the highest paid OT in the League, ex-Buff David Bahktiari, on that. (I recall he was all of 2 stars and a svelte 240 coming out of HS!)
Now list all the other 2-stars since him and where their careers stand. Then do the 3-stars. Then do the 4-stars. Then do the 5-stars. Then do the %s of each grouping to see who had the highest % of NFL success. Then stfu.

Watched a lot of his film and caught him live once and I'm somewhat confused by the level of love he's getting. Very solid on his pass pro and moves fairly well, but highlights of dominating free safeties and 185lb DEs just don't do it for me. He has a good upside, but I have to think there's a "well, if they did" effect on this one. Still would take him, though.

I’d be perfectly happy if our entire roster was full of kids who had Ohio State, Auburn, Oregon, Utah and Notre Dame offers without knowing anything else about them.

Looks like he's announcing his commitment this afternoon.

(All 3 247 crystal ball predictions, all made yesterday, have him choosing ohio state. They, along with Oklahoma and Oregon, are the 3 schools 247 has listed as "warm".)

Really can’t understand why people don’t know the difference between “MST” and “MDT”. (I like to focus on irrelevant issues versus the conversation at hand).

Maybe he’s announcing at 1:30. Ever think of that?
