The quarterback situation in the 2022 class remains in flux as prospects are quickly coming off the board and others will commit soon as well. For Evers, Florida and Penn State are rumored to have his attention the most and then there is a big drop-off to Boise State, Virginia Tech and Colorado. This could be a battle between the Gators and the Nittany Lions, though, unless a surprise team emerges soon.

Nick Evers, one of Colorado's top quarterback targets in the 2022 class, is expected to be in Boulder this weekend with his family. (Perfect spring weather in the forecast) The 6-foot-4, 190-pound pro-style from Flower Mound (Texas) High has picked up new offers, from Auburn, Ole Miss, TCU and Texas Tech, in recent days. It is believed Boise State, Cincinnati, Colorado, Florida and Penn State have done the best job recruiting Evers so far. He does not want to drag out the process for too long because he wants to help recruit for the 2022 class.

Don’t think we can officially lay out the red carpet during the dead period. However, maybe we can go Tennessee style and send him to the McDonalds on Baseline for an “extra value” meal.

Allar committed to Penn State this morning and Evers definitely appears to be Florida's top target. Dominoes could fall quickly here.
 
I can't stress enough how big of a recruiting win it would be to keep Florida from taking Evers if they want him. That's a hell of an offensive pedigree there. Even if their head coach is a terrible human being, he's done some work and has a track record.

He is gross though.

Who was the other one?

I guess I just don't feel like a kid committing to a blue blood program in the SEC with Dan Mullen as HC, regardless of how long after he visits Boulder on his own, is any kind of indictment on CU, particularly when there was no in person contact with the staff.
