Welcome to the Buff's Jayvon and I hope that you are a big part of our rebuild for many years to come. I hope that this works out for you and the team. I am presuming that he will sign.
I'm sure Prime and Co cannot say anything about any signings or Seaton yet. Could someone enlighten me?
Seaton was one of Prime's prized pupils, aka like one of the family. Seaton portals and his cousin commits to Prime/CU as a Frosh Oline transfer from Ohio State. Jayvon did not climb the depth chart and was sort of demoted in his transfer ranking, but still has tremendous upside. I doubt that we would have offered very much NIL since he is a RS-Frosh without experience; we have been burned before trying this route; and we are rather late in the transfer portal period. Outside of Seaton, not a great track record in developing lineman. This portal session, except for a few DBs and BU QB, we have not really trended at all towards younger Blue-Blood P-4 transfers.
Did he just really enjoy his visits here--CU is home? Is a special/close relationship with the Oline coach, Prime or Marion at play? A bunch of friends at CU? Is it the Go-Go or Juju? A CU girlfried? Is it to stick his cousin in the eye?
I just don't understand what the heck is going on. I could see him visiting frequently when JS was recruited and on the team and during his recruitment, so many there is a special pull of some. It did sound like he wanted to play with JS, then why transfer here since JS's NIL is probably already allocated, thus he will not return. Any ideas?
