It doesn’t matter at all but I’m pretty sure he’s a walk on guy.
With the 105 roster I don't really care. If the coaches think he is worth having and can contribute that good enough for me.

I highly doubt we end up with a full 105 anyways. This is a guy who now has the size and spent a year on a P4 roster practicing against this level of athlete.

Prime has also shown that with the window if a guy isn't going to contribute they won't keep him around 4 years like it used to be.

A big body at a thin position isn't a bad thing.

Also, obviously, not every young OL blossoms into a P4 starter at the same rate—very hit/miss/and develop.

Happy to have more guys with the right, huge OL size to work with up front.

Such a step up in the depth department from all those 250 lb kids we used to hope would grow into P4 size.

I agree. He’s not going to be counted on to play this year, but he’s a good developmental guy.

And he has the requisite size to give our DL a decent look. I view most of the additions from this point forward as them filling out a developmental/scout team, the Wyoming CB addition notwithstanding. I also think they could try to add a RB who can play, but we’ll see.

We were so bad that there wasn't much of a choice but over the last couple years as the team has improved a huge amount I think we have still been hurt by a lack of continuity, especially on the OL but across the board.

It's not going back to the "old days." As long a Prime is here we are always going to see a lot of activity in the portal but I think we will see a transition into more of a development focus on the roster which I think will make the Buffs a better team.

We will see more HS kids and more transfers who have multiple years of eligibility like this guy.

This just feels like the next step in program building, something none of us have seen at CU in decades and certainly not in the modern era.

New coach comes into a bad program situation and turns the roster over to set culture and hopefully have an influx of talent.
Adds front line talent in year two while hopefully seeing positive results on the field. Continues building front line talent while establishing and building developmental/scout program and depth in year three.

“Step four”, IMO, would be the addition/development of elite talent across board.

That feels like where this program currently is heading into year three. Building quality depth and a developmental program while really shooting for a bunch of blue chip players in the 2026 class.

And unlike the traditional concept of building a program Prime will continue in future years to bring in transfers that only have one or two years left but they will be fewer than we have seen and they will be guys to either fill specific weaknesses or guys who are outstanding talents who are difference makers.

Ain't hard to find will continue to be a thing for some guys who are expected to come in and make an immediate impact but we will see fewer of them who we are "hoping" can be quality contributors instead of "expecting" to make that contribution.
