IDK, I most always give the player/staff the benefit of the doubt. Calling it a wasted scholarship without seeing even what Jack looks like is a cheap shot. WR is certainly not a position of need, but he is local kid. I know his parents live close and presume that it is just an in-state scholarship cost. He may see the field as a special teams player, or given that it is his 5th year contribute other intangibles to the team in other ways. In looking at his stats, he put up decent numbers on teams that did not score a ton of points. Also, he stuck it out and this is his 5th year, so he could be deserving to end his career here in other ways. By the end of the season this could be a feel good story--he might be one of those guys that just bleed black and gold.

I do hope we fall @ss backwards into a hulking LB or two, and maybe an RB. As I recall, we fell into Juju quite late in the process. Although he was eventually a problem, he was the best Buffs LB who found the field in 2023. I think the Buffs have a Plan B at RB if necessary if the player/staff decide to go that direction. Good luck to Jack and compete your @ss off.

Some of you guys act like our roster is almost full.

That is an excellent point. The way CBF has changed, it is not like there is a "meat squad" who run the opposing teams plays each week for game prep. IMO, the better the guys who participate excellent in that role, the more prepared our team is. It takes special players who can excel at that role and willing to bring it each week.

Exactly. If any team ends up carrying 105 guys, 30-40 of them will probably never step foot on the field on game day

I like the move, we've gotta fill some spots up to or close to 105 (yeesh)

More importantly, it opens the door for kids to come back. Sets a precedent that you can leave, develop, and come back as long as you do it the right way.
I don’t think we end up anywhere near 105
