The #48 men's golf team will be back in action today when they will be competing at the Bandon Dunes Championship hosted by Gonzaga. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at the Pacific Dunes Course on the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore., recently ranked as the top course in America by Golfweek. This marks the fifth year the Bulldogs have hosted the Bandon Dunes Championship; where they utilize a different course each year. This year’s Bandon Dunes Championship field includes 15 teams of five players and nine individuals for a tournament field of 84 players. Play will consist of 54 holes, contested over three days, beginning Sunday, March 9 and ending Tuesday, March 11. Team scoring will consist of counting the four best scores of each five-man team.

Teams participating in the 2014 Bandon Dunes Championship are: #208 Boston College, #48 University of Colorado, #176 Gonzaga University, #60 University of Missouri, #39 University of Oregon, #133 University of the Pacific, #130 Rice University, #91 Saint Mary’s College, #129 San Jose State University, #71 UC Davis, University of Missouri-Kansas City, #179 Utah Valley University, #16 University of Washington, #79 Washington State University and #224 Weber State University.

This should be a perfect opportunity for at least a top 3 finish.

Looks like a decent first round for the Buffs as they sit in 3rd place with round 2 being played tomorrow.

Those are some really solid scores for the Pacific Dunes course, the weather tomorrow looks like it's going to be in the low 50's with rain, not sure we'll see the 67's continue.

A much better round 1 yesterday than today's round 2 as the Buffs fall 17 strokes behind first place Missouri

Buffs finish tied for 4th place. A little disappointed as I thought that they would have done better in a fairly weak field.
