BOULDER – The University of Colorado women's tennis team will take on Washington State Friday at 11 a.m. MT at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego for the first round of the 2021 Pac-12 Championships.

The Buffaloes (9-11, 3-7 Pac-12) are the nine seed heading into the championships and will have a rematch with the Cougars (13-13, 4-6 Pac-12). Colorado upset Washington State on April 4th in Boulder by a score of 4-3 thanks to a double-point win as well as wins in the first three singles matches with Sara Nayar, Maria Campos and Megan Forster all taking wins.

This will be the fourth time the Buffs compete in the dual championship since the conference adopted the practice in 2017. Colorado has an 0-3 record in the Championships, twice losing to Washington and losing to Washington State in the last championship in 2019.

Colorado is coming off a 4-1 victory against Utah in the season finale. Freshman Maria Campos made history last Friday, becoming the first CU tennis student-athlete to not only compete in every singles position in a season, but also became the first to win in every position in a season after she took the No.1 singles match against Utah in straight sets.

Megan Forster leads the team with a 12-5 individual record in singles this season, while Campos has an 11-7 record. Forster leads the team with four conference singles victories this season.

No.5 UCLA earned the No.1-seed in the tournament and will face the victor of the CU/WSU matchup Saturday at 10 a.m. MT.

Live Video - Can't find anything right now about streaming early rounds. The only video I can find for the Championships is that the finals will be on the Pac 12 Networks.

Live scoring - Can't find a link right now; hopefully one will be available before the start of tomorrow's match.
