Win 5 games again and you are looking at a lame duck coach who's been to Macchu Piccu.
:saythat:
i don't think it's too far to suggest that there's a lot of "wait and see" about this year's Buffs. win 8 games we are pulling in 4 star guys who want some PT at an up and coming program at one of the best campuses in America. win 5 games again and you are looking at a lame duck coach who's been to Macchu Piccu.
No doubt. Just funny because the question is all over the rivals board today. I felt like I was reading something from June 2007 or June 2008.
Or June 2010, or June 2011...
It's instinctual, like the swallows returning to Capistrano or lemmings rushing over a cliff...
In all seriousness, after glancing at scout and rivals, it does appear that an awfully large portion of the highest rated QB's in the country are already committed... =/
Anyone else concerned we only have one commit?
D ooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
He gave Wallace, Blackmon, Smith and Celestine plenty of time to make their decisions and not be rushed or forced, and look at the result.
It would also offset some of the "negative" created by the recent departures the program has had.
What has this got to do with recruiting? Wallace, Blackmon and Celestine were all unique situations and there's no cause for alarm around here on these young guys leaving....
I don't see all this negativity.... just normal attrition. In general, Hawkins has brought in guys who can play football and succeed in college (Katoa the notable exception). Each year, the success rate has been going up (year 1 they obviously took some chances as they had little choice).
