I wasn't planning on going but decided to at the last minute. Overall it wasn't too much different then yesterday.
Notes:
Notes:
- The offense was the same for the most part. I lot of RB screens and end arounds. They used all of the RB's for this drill. If I had to say the offense will be focused mainly around the RB's, even in the passing game. B-Lock is really fast, and he goes 100% on each and every play. Speedy had to go back and do a drill because Hagan wasn't satisfied with his effort.
- I would say Hawkins and Hansen are the front-runners. Ballenger's release looks so effortless but he really lacks mustard on his ball resulting in a wobbly pass. Hawkins and Hansen do a great job in this department.
- Today was the first day where they lined up the Offense vs. the Defense. They did a lot between the OL and DL only. Marquez Herrod (who manhandled Solder a couple times), Bryce Givens, Will Pericak, and Ryan Miller stood out. Conrad Obi is pretty big. THe DL is a big concern for me.
- They also lined up the entire offensive and defensive units against eachother. This mostly consisted of passes, and Hansen and Hawkins looked good here. Beatty stripped Deehan (stud), and Deehan had to crawl the field with two footballs. A lot of these plays resulted in scuffles with Obi mainly behind one of them. Hawk didn't like this one bit.
- There were no serious injuries of note. Cha'pelle sat out after injuring his leg I believe. J-FLy injured his leg at the beginning of the practice. Later on, Lockridge and Smith plowed right into eachother. It was a tense couple minutes. Lockridge sprang right up, and Smith did a couple mins later and practiced the rest of the day.
- Saw a couple former players, and Mike Bohn was there. It was also a coaches clinic so there were quite a few HS coaches. I'd say around 50 fans attended, probably less.
- Danny Spond, Jerry Slota (not 100% sure on this one), and yes Seth Lobato was there:smile2: along with one of my former coaches. A recruiting assistant was with them the whole time, and they followed their personnel group around. Hildreth was in attendance again.
- Ryan Miller is a vocal leader. He was yelling at the guys quite a bit in practice. He also led the team in prayer after practice.
- The Cody Crawford era may have come to an end, but there are plenty of other slow white WR's to go around:thumbsup: It looks like Maxwell and Espinosa will get a lot of PT.
