Don't forget we can't get anymore injuries if we aren't playing.
Also, don't forget that the entire team can hit the weight room hard and get an early start on conditioning. in fact, I'm not sure why more teams don't purposefully throw half their games every year so they don't have to go to a bowl.
the AD wont lose money on getting the team to a bowl game.
We won't have to interrupt holiday travel plans to make it to CU games!
Bowl games don't help, but we have already had this discussion.
Way to polish that turd....
I love the optimism glass half-full philosophy of this forum. I would agree with the general benefits of not going this year. However if we want to be consistently ranked in the top 20 recruiting classes we will need to start going to bowl games sooner or later. And eventually you wan to go a decade without going to a bowl game as a powerhouse school. That way people like me who live far away from Colorado can be assured to always see our Buffs on TV Although with the new Pac 12 network maybe that won't be a problem anymore.
really ? the extra practices can't hurt.. I see no reason how it would hurt.. none
Would love to be in a bowl game obviously but that's actually not a bad thought Tante, I'll be curious to see if it helps any.
Sarcasm but who would we practice? The intermurals team? Don't think we have anyone left on the scout team
It's like deja vu all over again around here.
I'm just looking for any positives that can possibly come from this season, although I wasn't here pre-Hawkins.
It is very positive not to go bowling, it means one less ass kicking we will get to witness!
some people have not been a part of the board long enough.
Wow:wow:. Rationalizing ITT
No bowl game is a terrible thing people. I know we're all trying to make the best of this ****** situation, but bowl games are always a plus.
No even when we're good we should stop at 5 wins just to avoid bowl games
There is no bright side. Suffer through this so we don't forget.
That's not what anyone is saying. I'm just trying to pull the positives from this season.
A thread about natural position and I think we have come full circle.
Nah keep winning and decline all bowl invitations
:rofl:If we're 5-0 in 2014, we better toss away the last seven games, that's for damn sure. Why get the extra month of practices and massive exposure of a bowl game when you can go sub-.500 year after year? In fact, why ever improve on our current state when we can just sell "early playing time" forever? What's better than being 1-7 and getting pounded in the ass week after week?
Jesus guys, I know we're all dealing with the losing in our own ways, but WTF...really?? :fragez:
Please someone bump that old thread, pure hilarity.
