SPLISH SPLASH CITY – Colorado and Oregon couldn’t miss on Saturday in Eugene, the teams combined for a 50% from the field and 174 points. For The Buffaloes, they did the one thing Tad Boyle said they couldn’t do against the Ducks, they traded shots, and therefore they lost 101-73.

Oregon’s ridiculous 16 threes paved the way to their victory. They also out rebounded and out defended Colorado in an almost wire-to-wire shellacking where the Buffaloes were really only in it for a portion of the first half.

A 41-9 extended run at the end of the first that carried over into the second half was the Buffs doing in, it included a Ducks stretch of 29-2.

Xavier Johnson picked up a quick four fouls and one of the two in the Buffs dynamic duo was held off the court. The other, Derrick White, had a very quiet afternoon.

For Oregon two of their ducklings, Dillion Brooks and Dylan Ennis, they went off, 46 points on 60% shooting.

Freshman Bryce Peters did not play on coach’s decision, Deleon Brown returned to action following a concussion.

The saddest stat for CU, was that not one player had more than four rebounds.

The Buffs are back action Thursday night at 9 p.m. against Utah.
