University of Colorado linebacker N.J. Falo has been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules according to a CU press release on Monday evening.
Falo was expected to be a key contributor for a CU defense that lost eight starters last season as an outside linebacker. He was ranked in BSN Denver’s Top 20 Buffs at No. 18 entering the fall.
The 6-2, 220-pounder has a previous history of violating team rules after being suspended three games for allegedly stealing from a student’s dorm. He was arrested for that 2016 incident and apparently the most recent violation was the last straw and MacIntyre was ready to move on from the big linebacker.
He played in 11 games including the Alamo Bowl in 2016 where he recorded 12 tackles, one-and-a-half sacks, four third down stops, one quarterback hurry and three pass breakups.
Colorado is now even weaker at linebacker which was one of their weakest positions before this, and they have a new linebacker coach who is the defensive coordinator in DJ Eliot.
