Five-foot-eleven, 188-pound running back Alex Fontenot from George Ranch High School in Richmond, TX has committed to the University of Colorado to play for the Buffaloes.

On Twitter the soon-to-be high school senior said, “I would like to start by thanking everyone that has helped me throughout this recruiting process. Special thanks to my family, teammates and coaches for everything they have done. I would also like to thank every school that has offered me the opportunity to further my football career. With that said, I would like to announced that I am COMMITTING to The University of Colorado to further my academic and athletic career! #GoBuffs”




The three-star runner is ranked as the 47th best at his position nationally. Colorado State, New Mexico, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Purdue and Texas State also offered him.
