The Colorado Buffaloes lost 70-66 to the SMU Mustangs in the championship of the Las Vegas Classic. The Buffs rode their three-point shot, but they struggled from the free throw line. Josh Scott recorded another double-double as CU finished the nonconference season with an 11-2 record.

Calling this a "Title Game"….while technically true……I man last night we watched the semifinal game on periscope…..
— JG (@jgisland) December 24, 2015
Fast start to this one. Buffs shooting well early.

Is there anything that makes you more of a Jerry than spelling your name Jarrey? @BBadss

@Shapalicious Orleans Arena is rooting for both teams, he's been so far completely unbiased.

Including the second half of last night's game against Penn State, #CUBuffs have made 11 of their last 14 three-point attempts.

Southwest had FoxSports1! It's a Festivus miracle!

@Shapalicious why isn't their fight song ginuwine's "pony"

As @prooney07 just pointed out here on press row, refs not calling this game near as tight as last night. Only four FTs total for both teams
— Neill Woelk (@NeillWoelk) December 24, 2015
@CUGoose how deep are they? They look like jitterbugs out there. Can they keep it up?
— SnowBuffCU (@SnowBuffCU) December 24, 2015
Happy to only be down 5, CU is a second half team. Same old story: need to limit turnovers, rebound, get Josh the ball
— Benjamin Burrows (@Rumblinbuffalo) December 24, 2015
@jgisland @Rumblinbuffalo need Wes for that, no foul trouble in the second
— Jack Barsch (@JackBarsch) December 24, 2015
This is exactly the kind of game @CUBuffsMBB needs heading into Pac-12. They’ll see a lot of this in conference.
— Neill Woelk (@NeillWoelk) December 24, 2015
Scott with the monster board, bucket and the foul!
— RalphieReport (@RalphieReport) December 24, 2015
The only time Scott touches the ball can't be on offensive rebounds
— JG (@jgisland) December 24, 2015
CU "living and dying by the 3 point shot" in other news CU is in Zone and pigs are flying
— JG (@jgisland) December 24, 2015

If you live in Colorado, are an alum of Colorado, or have any interest in basketball at all, you should be watching Tad Boyle's Buffs.

8-for-17 from the line for the Buffs. Does SMU have their own @CUBrickBaby ?
— James Lucas (@CUGoose) December 24, 2015
"OH MY GOD!" -Tad's reaction to that travel call.
— Ryan Koenigsberg (@RyanKoenigsberg) December 24, 2015
I seriously doubt we play a better offensive team all year. They're putting on a clinic.
— James Lucas (@CUGoose) December 24, 2015
SMU comes back to beat a very good Colorado team to remain undefeated. Ponies closed the game on a 20-9 run. Now 11-0 overall. AAC's best.
— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) December 24, 2015
Honestly, I told @ninamadeleine pregame that anything less than a double digit loss was good. Proud of the team tonight. Gonna make noise.
— James Lucas (@CUGoose) December 24, 2015
Only saw the last 2+ minutes but man SMU's FT shooting was huge. Valiant effort by the Buffs.
— Drew Spevak (@DrewSpevak) December 24, 2015
Showed that CU hasn't been beating up on garbage teams and the record is a lie. Solid team, can make some noise this year.
— JG (@jgisland) December 24, 2015
Nothing to hang their heads on. This team can hang with anyone in the country. They'll be extremely confident going into conference play.
