BOULDER — To find motivation in the dog days of Fall Camp, when the high of finally getting on the field after summer has worn off and the anticipation of an opening game hasn’t fully taken hold, sometimes a coach has to look beyond football.

For Mike MacIntyre’s Buffs, watching Emma Coburn cross the finish line to earn a bronze medal in the Rio Olympics may have just done the trick. After Wednesday morning’s practice, the head coach spoke with the media about that and more.
