With the wound of the 2011 NCAA Tournament still fresh, the Colorado Buffaloes have learned that they are one of the four #1 seeds in this years NIT Tournament. In their first game, the Buffs will take on Texas Southern this Wednesday night at 5 p.m. Joining the CU as #1 seeds are Virginia Tech, Alabama and Boston College. Colorado State is in as a #3 seed in the same bracket as the Buffs (wouldn't that be fun?). From the Big 12, Oklahoma State and Nebraska were also selected as three and five seeds respectively. Little bit strange that OSU received a higher seed than the Huskers, but hey, the teams that are leaving the Big 12 are used to being screwed in this last season.

While we are all disappointed in today's happenings and the NIT is no consolation prize, we must now rally around this team and support their drive to the championship. The only thing we can do at this point is win the entire thing, throwing up a proverbial middle finger in the selection committee's face
