Buffs Start Second Half Of Pac-12 Sched.- Volleyball on the road vs. Arizona schools

So, the volleyball team is on the road to face #15 ranked Arizona tonight, with the match starting 7:00 mountain time.

The Buffs swept Arizona in an upset at the Coors Event Center in 3 close sets (25-22, 25-21, 25-23) earlier in the month; one of the Buffs 2 best wins this year. Obviously, it will be a tall order to beat the Cats in their lair, but the Buffs have been looking good on the road lately, so it IS definitely possible. Arizona had a topsy turvy ride last weekend in Oregon, following up a BAD loss to Oregon (25-17, 25-12, 25-19) with a pretty good win in Corvallis against an improving Oregon State club (25-19, 27-29, 25-15, 25-14).

The match is on the Pac 12 Networks (Both Mountain and Arizona channels). For those who can't watch on TV, but have cable/ satellite subscriptions that include the Pac 12 network, video should also be available (after of course you log on) through http://pac-12.com/live .

Live stats should be available come game time through http://www.cubuffs.com/liveStats/li...G=C&DB_OEM_ID=600&LIST_SPORT_KEY=W_VOLLEYBALL .

AZ gets set 2 easily 25-18.

After having no blocks through the 1st 1-1/2 sets, AZ get 4 later in the second set. AZ, one of the better defensive teams, also got that part of their game going from the back row. Buffs also with a couple net calls late didn't help.

16-14 CU. TO CU. A string of like 5 straight wonderful digs by AZ on Buff hard smashes on last point leads to AZ point.

Phew- Buffs get set 3 25-20

If she wasn't playing my favorite team, I'd say Snuka is my favorite player to watch play. Diving all over the place, and has 4 blocks, all at a (supposedly generous?) 5'6".

Yee Hah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buffs get the win 25-18 in set 4 and the match 3-1. Another great road win for the Buffs.
