FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The University of Colorado women’s golf team is currently tied for third place at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic. The Buffaloes opened the 2013 season here Monday, with play suspended in the second round due to weather.
The Buffs began the day shooting an 8-over par 296 in the first round of action, good enough for fourth place. CU moved up a spot and as play was suspended, held a team score of 7-over par at the par 72, 6,352-yard Ptarmigan Country Club. At 15-over par, the Buffs are just five strokes behind the leader with anywhere from four to seven holes remaining in the second round.
